Prayer of Reception
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
When we come before God with a clean heart and mind, we can claim the promises that he has given us in His word.
Claim His promises
ASK (A)
" Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. "
Believe (B)
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. "
Claim (C)
We are to say "Thank you Lord for Your promise and that You are full filling it as You promised it. I pray this prayer in faith.
Faith
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Perfect Peace when praying
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." We can have perfect peace when we talk to the Lord as we go about our daily lives.
